Elina started working because Michel Ange is her dear friend and neighbor and began training her to make our designs. When Elina’s husband lost his job and they began to struggle to put food on the table. Around the same time our production demand was increasing with a higher volume of orders. We needed to hire another artisan and Michel Ange advocated for Elina. Within a few weeks she was well versed in 4 designs and in a few months she has started building a larger home for her family.

This job has empowered me to support my parents who live in the countryside and send my children to good schools where they are challenged through grow intellectually, artistically, and athletically. My life has been changed by this job and i have room to help my friends, church, and community. I would love to keep working with Haiti’s Jewels for as long as it exists.
